・先輩ゲット！未知たちと出会う回でもう柔道部に入ってしまうとは思わなかったが、歓迎されていてるところが見れて良かった。
このアニメはこういう感動的な場面を作るのが本当に上手い。

Senpai get! Didn't think she'd join in the same episode that she met the team but it was nice to see how welcomed she was.
This show really does excel in these sort on inspiring moments.
Also bit different than usual sports shows where you bring in someone for their last match, should be interesting to see the results! Have to believe Anna is going to get to take part.

あれだけ強烈に姫野が先生をマットに叩きつけたところ見たら、青葉西の秘密兵器の称号を冠するにふさわしいのは間違いない！
A gyaru judoka? Heck yeah! I just love how Himeno carries around a wig to hide her hair. xD
Considering how hard Himeno slammed Sensei on the mat she definitely deserves the title of Aoba High's secret weapon!

彼女がギャルには全く見えなかったぞ、その単語ところ構わず使われている感じがする。
She didn't really come across as a gyaru to me, seems like that term is thrown around willy nilly.

ギャルというのは規範から逸脱していることが重要であり、髪を染めている姫野にはその兆候がすでにある。
ギャルのサブカルチャーにも様々なものがあり。みんながみんな濃い化粧をしたり日焼けをしたりするわけではない。姫野はコギャルに分類されるんじゃないかな。
The fact that Himeno dyed her hair is already a major sign since she's a gyaru since gyarus are all about not conforming to the norm.
Also, there are a bunch of different gyaru sub-cultures. Not all of them wear heavy makeup or tan their skin. I'd say that Himeno would be in the kogyaru category.

コギャルって久々に聞いたなｗこの人はコギャルをギャルをおとなしくしたバージョンぐらいの感覚で使っているんだろうか？



・登場する女の子全員が一人ひとりが特別な存在感を放っているアニメというのは久しぶりな気がする（よりもい以来かも）。そして一人ひとりがもつ小さな物語を楽しく魅力的なものに作り上げている。
It's been a while since I felt that a whole cast of girls where each and everyone is quite special in their own way (probably since Yorimoi) and this show manages to make them all be quite amusing and engaging on their very own little stories.



・昔の人間からすると背の低い女の子が身長を理由に馬鹿にされたりしないってのは見ていてとても新鮮だ。未知でさえ（彼女があの特殊な投げを教わろうとしていた少女）緑子に自分を含めてひとまとめにチビと呼んだりしている。
緑子がいまだに未知のことをパフェ泥棒と呼んでいて面白かった。それと未知が姫野の歓迎パーティーでまた同じ過ちを繰り返さないようにしっかり確認していたのは良い演出だった。
Coming from the old school, it's quite refreshing to see that the smaller girls aren't mocked by their height. Even Michi makes this remark on Midoriko (she calls themselves runts/chibi) whom she wanted to so much to teach her that special throw. It was quite amusing that Midoriko still calls her a parfait thief and it was also a nice detail that Michi and the gang made sure that misunderstanding wasn't replicated when they were celebrating Himeno's welcome party.

I loved the little blush when Michi praised Sanae for coming up with that move and showed how much she could relate

Sanaeになってますが緑子と訳しました。



・霞ヶ丘の子たちは全員気合が入っているようだ。未知たちと戦って火がついたんだろうな。未知と緑子は友達になりそう。両チームがライバル関係でありながらフレンドリーなのがわかって良かった。不必要にドロドロした展開はいらない。
The Kasumigaoka girls seem all fired up. I guess competing against Michi and ‘em really lit a fire in them. Looks like Michi and Midoriko are on their way to becoming friends. It’s nice to see the rivalry between the two teams stay friendly. No unnecessary drama.



・このアニメ大好き。キャラクターデザインがパーフェクト。みんな強そうで健康的だ。彼女たちはみんな相性が良く、新たに加わったキャラクターもスームズに溶け込んでいるところが好き。
I love this anime. The character design is perfect. The girls look strong and fit. I love the chemistry between them and how smoothly the new addition fit in with them.



・作画、演出の面でいうならツルネ２期のほうがちょっと上かもしれない、だがこっちをさらに好きな自分がいる。いまだに「今期最も好きな新アニメ」でありつづけ「今期最も好きなアニメ」の長瀞２期に肉迫している（こんなことはありえないと思っていた）。
今期は思っていたよりも心に訴えかける素敵なアニメが多いけどその中でもこのアニメは毎回最初から最後ずっと温かい気持ちにしてくれる。
While I think Tsurune 2 may be a tiny bit ahead in terms of animation and direction, I still love this series even more. It still hangs onto my "most loved overall new show" spot -- and it is not far from Nagatro 2 for "most loved overall" (something I would have deemed impossible). There are a lot of truly lovely-feeling shows this season, much more than I expected. Bu this one just evokes warm feelings almost from start to finish in every episode.



・未知のチームと霞ヶ丘のチームが密接に関わっているところが見れて本当に良かった。今では互いに競いあうことを楽しみ、心を許しあう仲になっている。元々霞ヶ丘と長い付き合いのある青葉西２人の部員だけでなく、今回を機に未知たちも彼女らと新たな絆を築くことができた。
I really like the fact that Michi's team and the Kasumigaoka one are now so inextricably connected. They now truly enjoy competing with other AND chilling with each other. Not only do two Aobanishi members have deep, long-standing ties with Kasumigaoka members, but Michi and the others have created new bonds with them.



・大学でスポーツを始め、体力も才能もないまま耐え難いトレーニングを続け、そして何度も何度も何度も何度も敗北を味わった結果どうにか中堅クラスにまで上り詰めることができた者として、「チビ」だったり「柔道が決して上手ではない」子を見るのは本当に心に訴えかけるものがある。Ganbare, girls.
姫野がこんなにも早く加入することにそこまで驚きはなかった。こういうのは一度ハマると抜け出せないものがある。努力は半ば中毒になり、そこでの共有体験は忘れがたい。そして本当に激しい試合をすると考え方が１８０度変わってしまったりね。
Man, as somebody who only took up a sport in college, coming into it with poor fitness and little natural talent and fighting my way up to middling rank through sheer persistence, excruciating amounts of training, and losing over and over and over and over and over again, seeing the "runts" and the ones who were "never very good at judo" seriously hits home. Ganbare, girls.
Can't say I'm surprised Himeno gave in so quickly. This stuff has a strong pull. The effort is addicting and the shared experiences are hard to forget. And the experience of a really intense match can shift your entire perspective.







・未知に出会う人はみんな柔道に惚れ直してしまうな。
Michi really just makes people fall in love all over again with Judo.

彼女の柔道に対する情熱は現実の自分にまでも影響を与え始めている。柔道はせいぜいオリンピックに見るぐらいだったけど、このアニメが放映されてから基本的なことについて調べたりYou Tubeでハイライトをまとめた動画をたくさん見るようになった。これだけの影響力をもつということは素晴らしいキャラクターの証拠だ。
Her passion for judo is starting to affect me even in real world. I only ever watched judo during the Olympics when it came on but since this show started I looked up some basic info and watched a bunch of highlights on youtube. It truly is a sign of a great character when they can influence you this hard.



・みんなが姫野をギャルと呼んでいる理由がわからないんだが？髪をブロンドに染めている以外はごく普通の子に見える、濃いメイクもしていないし、派手な服装をしたり、肌を黒くして生意気だったり厚かましい態度をとるわけじゃない。
Not sure why everyone is calling Himero a Gyaru though? Other than died blonde hair she seems pretty normal and not using heavy make-up, provocative clothing, darker skin, or adopting brash and forward mannerisms often characteristic of them.

これは自分も最初変に思ったな、彼女は「標準的な」なアニメギャルとは全然違っていたからね、ただそんな単純なものではないと他の人が指摘していた。ほとんどのアニメはギャルの一部分に焦点を当てたもので、俺たちもまたこのギャルというサブカルチャーに対し歪んだ考えをもってしまった部分があるんだろう。人間日々勉強だね。
This was weird to me as well at first because she doesn't really fit the "standard" anime gyaru but others have pointed out that it's not that simple. It's probably that most anime focus on just a subset of gyarus and then we also have a skewed view of that subculture. We learn something new everyday.

姫野は白ギャルに分類されるんじゃないか。

Looks like Himeno would be classified as a shiro gyaru:



・これが青葉西を主役にしたアニメだってことは知っているが、もっとライバルの子たちに焦点をあててくれても良いのよ・・・あるいは・・・今回みたいにライバルたちと一緒にトレーニングしたりするならなおのこと良し。あと背の低い子同士が仲良くなっていくさまが見れて良かった（笑）
そしてさらに新しい女の子も登場した。彼女が柔道をやめてしまった理由が一緒に練習していた部員がいなくなってしまったというのが良いね、これは現実のスポーツクラブでもよくあることで１人になってしまうとこれ以上続けていく気力が失われてしまうんだ。先週の南雲の決断をうまく反映させているところもナイス。
姫野が柔道を続ける決意を固めてくれて良かった(^o^)
あの１年生は本当に面白い連中だ。
I know the show is about the aoba-west girls, but i would not mind more of the parts where they focusing the rival judo girl team ... or ... have them all in one episode on a join exercise training like we got today, even better. And, it's nice to see the short people getting along together, lol.The new girl is also now on board, i liked the reasoning of her, how she left the Judo because all the other members she sparred with left eventually, its a very true thing to happen in real life sport clubs too, when you all alone, you lose the drive to continue. It also nicely reflect Nagumo's decision from last week.
Its nice to see Himeno finding the resolve to continue :) The first years truly are a funny bunch.



・柔道と生徒たち全員を気にかける先生の情熱には本当に頭が下がる。けどいまだに先生が男か女かわかってない。

It is really commendable the teacher's passion for the sport and all the care for the students, I still don't know if the teacher is a male or female though.



・姫野の入部が遅すぎたことが悲しい。もし新入社員が入ったと先生が告げたときに見に来ていたら最初の大会にも参加し亜美とも会っていただろうし、さらに絆を深めることだってできただろうな、だが実際は残された時間は１ヶ月しかない(´；ω；｀)
It's sad that himeno joined too late, if only she would've look when sensei told her about the new members. She could've joined that first tournament and met ami and had a lot of bonding with the girls but only a month they had ;A;



・姫野先輩ついにカムバック、だがそれも次の大会までなのが残念。みんながそこでしっかりと頑張り、次はちゃんとしたお別れができることを願っている。
Himeno senpai finally came back but damn it'll be only untill the next tournament. I hope they do well there and can give her a proper farewell.



・またいいキャラが追加された。姫野はこの大会のためだけに未知たちと合流したってのは悲しいが、悔いのないようにみんな素晴らしいパフォーマンスを発揮してくれることを願おう。
Nice addition to the cast. Sadly, Himeno will be joining the girls for only one tournament so let's hope they all can give a good performance without regrets.








おわりに

名前が姫っていうぐらいだしおっとりとしたお嬢様タイプかと思ったら結構サバサバしていたのが意外だったなｗ

あと緑子再登場が地味に嬉しい！
