全然ノーマークだったけど、強豪ひしめく今期でしかもスポーツモノは受けないというジンクス（？）のある海外でこんなに順位が高いことに違和感あったので見てみたらなかなかの当たりだったｗ

オープニングのUnison Square Gardenも最高だった。今期テーマソングは神曲が多いね。

リアリズムとロジックは置いておいて、これは見ててすごく楽しい。
１話なのにもうクレイジー、こんな場所が用意された目的、その資金源、選手が家に帰れない、失格者はブラックリスト入り、そして鬼ごっこ開始。
そしてまだ１話が始まったばかりにすぎないｗｗｗｗ
Realism and logic put aside, I think this is going to be really fun to watch.
It looks crazy already. The whole goal behind this place, its ressources, players can't go home, failing means being blacklisted, a tag to start.
And this is just the first episode lmao.

・毎週読んでいるぐらい好きなマンガなので、ちゃんとしたアニメ化がされて嬉しい。スポーツを深くリアルに描いているわけではないが、このエッジィな感じが最高に楽しい。
One of my favorite manga to read week to week. Glad its being animated well. No it's not the deepest or most realistic depiction of sports, but it's very fun in an edgy way.

ストーリーが進んでいくと、実は見かけとは違ってスポーツ心理学的に理にかなった説明がされていたりする。ただこの作品全体に漂う少年バトル漫画的要素によって隠れてしまっている。
ここではリアルなサッカーそれ自体はやってないかもしれない、だがここでのレッスンの多くはサッカーだけでなく多くのスポーツにも適用できるものだ。
Imo as the story progress, it is actually deceptively intelligent when it comes to sports psychology etc. It's just that it's buried under the heavy shounen battle elements. They may not be playing real football per se, but many of the lessons it teaches I feel can be applied to many sports not even football. It's also just really fun action-wise which helps



・２つのサッカーアニメが同時期に放送・終了したので比較されるのは仕方ないが、この２つの作品は１つのスポーツを別の切り口から描いていることをしっかりと理解してほしいと切に願う。

ゴールを決めることだけに執着するエゴイストとして知られるアシトは、チームメイトをうまく活用する方法を学び、自身のベストを引き出すために彼らに頼る一方で、常に自分自身高めていこうという意欲／エゴがある。

他方で「ワンフォーオール、オールフォーワン」の考えだったイサギは突然エゴイズムの重要性、ストライカーとはなんなのか理解する。

ただアオアシが現実的なアプローチをするのに対しブルーロックは非現実的なものになる、だが、だからといってこの作品を楽しむことを止めないでほしい。
Since there have been two football anime that are airing/finished airing around the same time, comparions are inevitable but I do hope people understand both series tackle the sport in different ways.
Ashito, known to be an egoist only focused on scoring goals and being a striker is forced to learn how to use teammates around him and rely on them to bring the best out of himself whilst also having the drive/ego to always push himself to become a better player
Isagi on the other hand, who is seen to be in the mindset of "one for all, all for one" suddenly understands the importance of egoism and what it means to be a striker.
Although blue lock will lean more towards the unrealistic side as to Ao Ashi's more realistic approach, it shouldn't stop people from enjoying the work of blue lock.

あるのはサッカーアニメとサッカーをテーマにしたデスゲーム。ここは重要な部分、なぜなら間違った期待をもって見た作品というのはたやすく嫌いになりがちだからだ。
There's one football anime and one death game anime that is football themed. This is important because it's very easy to hate something when approaching it with the wrong expectation.

スーパースターのストライカーであるロナルド、ズラタン、エムバペを見ればブルーロックのアプローチは理にかなっているよ。
Blue Locks approach makes sense if you look at Superstar strikers like Ronaldo, Zlatan and Mbappe



・以前も言ったことがあるけど、ブルーロックは要するにサッカー版カイジ。しっかり地に足の付いた戦略よりも奇妙な心理的駆け引き、キャラクターに期待してくれ。
サッカーマンガとして描かれるプロレスといったところかな。そこに怒っている人をみると奇妙な気分になる。それはドラゴンボールをみて現実の格闘技ではありえないと文句を言っているようなものだ。
I have said it before, but Blue Lock is basically soccer Kaiji. Expect less grounded strategy and more bizarre mindgames and characters.
It is like the professional wrestling of soccer manga. I am kinda weirded out how pissed that makes some people. It is like getting mad at Dragon Ball for not being about actual martial arts.

少なくともサッカーの部分はガチなのか？エッジの効いたスポーツものは大歓迎だが、スーパーパワーのでてくるスポーツものはそんなに好きじゃない。
Is the soccer at least going to feel legit? I'm all good with edgy sports. What I don't like as much is super power sports.

ストライカーが現実にいるキーパーよりも良いキーパーとしてプレイすることを除けば、現実から逸脱したものなどない。
Outside of Strikers playing as keeper better than real life keepers, nothing out of the ordinary.

アイシールド２１やはじめの一歩と同じような感じ。一体なんのスポーツやってるんだよって言いたくなるが、それでも面白い。
追記：すまん、一歩を例に出すのは間違いだったかもしれない。
So it’s like Eyeshield 21 or Hajime no Ippo. I’m not sure what sport they claim to be playing, but boy is it entertaining.

ストーリー展開の一部（そしてウォーリー関連全部）を除けばはじめの一歩は結構ちゃんとしたボクシングマンガじゃなかったか、知らんけど。
それに漫画家はボクシングジムではセコンドをこなし，自身もボクシングをしていた。
IDK Hajime no Ippo is pretty grounded, minus some bits needed for story writing (and everything about Woli); the mangaka is also a regular cornerman for a boxing gym, and has boxed before.

・OK、期待してたのと違っていたのは認める。前半は普通のサッカーアニメに見えたが、後半はバトルロイヤルみたいになってた。めちゃくちゃ面白かったと言わざるをえない。それにアオアシを思わせるような素晴らしい作画もあった。ただ今回こんなシーンを見てしまった以上、この２つの作品を比べることはしないほうがいい。

Ok I'll admit this isn't what I was expecting coming in. 1st half was like oh some normal anime soccer. But the 2nd half was some battle royal shit. I do got to say it was entertaining as hell and the animation was amazing coming off Ao Ashi. Altho it is best not to compare those two shows based off this episode. Since we got scenes like this.



・すまんがこれは好みじゃなかった。自分はハイキューのようなチームワークにフォーカスを当てたスポーツアニメが好きなんだ。自分と同じような考えの人がいるならアオアシの方をオススメする。素晴らしいサッカーアニメだよ。
Sorry, but this is not my cup of tea. I'm more into sports anime that focus on team work like Haikyuu. If anyone else feels the same way I recommend watching Ao Ashi. It's an amazing soccer/football anime



・このアニメの前提がおかしくないことを裏付けるためにフランスのストライカーを生み出さなければいけなかったというのが面白い。というのもフランスが２０１８年に優勝したときストライカーのオリヴィエ・ジルーは決勝トーナメントで０ゴールだったから。
追記：２０１２年EUROを優勝した時のスペインもストライカーがいなかった。

They have to invent some French striker to support the premise of the show. That's hilarious. Because in real life France won a world cup in 2018 with Olivier Giroud. A striker that scored 0 goal in that tournament.
EDIT: Spain won the 2012 EURO with no striker at all.

そういうことじゃない。ジルーは今回の絵心が絶賛したあらゆることに対するアンチテーゼのような存在。彼はヨーロッパサッカーの主要なトロフィーのほとんど獲得している身体的にも優れたストライカーである（そしてフランス代表の歴代得点者のトップグループにいる）。さらに彼は華々しいゴールを決めてきたが、そのキャリアを追ってきた人はみんな知っている、彼の最高の、そして最も過小評価された資質はストライカーには不釣り合いの巧みなプレイと、周りを試合に引き込む能力だと。彼のアシストはゴールとほとんど変わらないぐらい素晴らしい。

You're underselling it: Giroud is the antithesis of everything Ego was extolling in this episode: He's a physically dominant striker who's won pretty much every major trophy in European football (and is near the top of France's all-time top goalscorers list). And while he's scored some spectacular goals, anyone that's followed his career knows that his best, most underrated quality is his weirdly incongruous finesse plays, and ability to bring others into the game. Giroud's assist highlight real is almost as good as his actual goal reel. Almost.
They pretty much HAD to invent another French striker. There's a reason Giroud scored 0 goals in the World Cup finals and yet was still the first name on the team sheet for the entire run.

・これは聞いていた以上にエッジィな作品だった。
実在する偉大な選手たちの中ノエル・ノアのような架空の名前を入れようとしてくるのがなんだか変な感じがしたが狙いはわかる。グーグルが言うにはノエルはロベルト・レヴァンドフスキをモデルにしてるというので今のところはそれで納得することにした。
エリック・カントナをアニメで見るというのもなんだか変な気がしたな。暗殺教室でマンチェスター・ユナイテッドの選手の名前を見たときを思い出した。これから他の偉大なストライカーの名前に言及することはあるのだろうか。
This was much edgier than what I'd been told. Kind of weird they snuck in a fictional name like Noel Noa among those greats but I get what they're going for - from what Google tells me, Noel's based on Robert Lewandowski so I'm going to go with that for now.
It was weird seeing Eric Cantona of all people in an anime, reminds me of that one time Assassination Classroom referenced various United players :/ I wonder if they'll reference other great strikers from the past as well...

漫画家はフランス人のストライカーが欲しかった（というのもフランスが２０１８年にワールドカップで優勝したから）のだが、ジルーが決勝トーナメントで０ゴールだったこともあり、精鋭のフランス人ストライカーを生み出さなければいけなかったでまず間違いないと思う。
Pretty sure the mangaka invented Noel Noa because they wanted to have a French striker (cause they just won the 2018 World Cup) but Giroud literally scored zero goals in the tournament, so they had to make up an elite French striker.

・マイボーイ吉良を失格にしないでくれ😭彼は信頼できる人に見える。自分の好きなキャラがいなくなりそうなことにちょっとイライラしているが、これはつまり彼がエゴイストではないという意味しているのかもしれない。
Not my boy Kira 😭 He seemed like such a good egg. Kinda annoyed a character I’m already invested in is gonna be written off, but maybe that just represents he will never be egotistical.

・プロット、作画、キャラクター、デザインなどちょっとやり過ぎに見えるが・・・そんなところが好き。この秋はすごいアニメがいくつもあるね。
The plot, animation, characters, designs, etc seems a bit over the top...and I like it. This Fall seasons got some bangers



・スポーツアニメとしてはかなりユニークな設定、このアニメ化がうまくいってくれるといいのだが。

おわりに

アオアシと比較して語る人が多かった。自分はアオアシ見てないので最初に見た印象は「これ蹴球黙示録ヨイチだろｗ」だったｗ


それと御堂筋くんみたいなキャラクターがたくさんでてきそうで楽しみ。ただあまり出しすぎると食傷気味になるのでそこらへんのバランスにも期待したい。※ネタバレコメントはお控えください。


あと自分はせいぜいワールドカップは見るぐらいのにわかなので訳がおかしいところあるかもしれませんがご了承ください（一応ググったりwikiを読んだりはしますが限界があるｗ）。


今回の記事とは関係ないですがチェーンソーマンの２話放映までに１話の反応をまとめることができなそうなので諦めることにしました。
ただ長年の経験上この手の作品（ブルーロック）の海外の反応はPVの伸びがあまり良くないと思うので４話あたりからしれっとチェーンソーマンの反応に切り替わってるかもしれませんｗ一応期待も込めて３話まではまとめますので今後ともよろしく！
