救出シーンはユニコーンのオードリー救出シーンにすごく似てると思った。だがこっちはNT-DではなくNTRだった。
I thought the rescue scene was super familiar with the Audrey rescue scene in Unicorn. But instead of NT-D we got NTR.

・日本語が読める人はオープニングとタイアップしている小説も読むことを強く勧める（これを読めば歌詞の意味がわかる）。この小説ではプロローグと１話の間の部分を埋めてくれる・・・ガンダムエアリアルの視点で。
エアリアルは本当に可愛い弟であり姉のことをとても大切に思っている。
I highly recommend to everyone who can read Japanese to read the opening song tie-in novel (which makes sense of the lyrics) but also fills in the gap between Prologue and Episode 1... from the POV of Gundam Aerial himself.
Aerial is a such a cute little brother and cares about his big sister a lot.

・OK、自分はガンダムに対して全くの初心者で今プロローグとこの１話を見終えたところなんだけど、とてつもなく素晴らしかったと言わざるをえない。
Ok so I'm completely new to Gundam and I watched both the prologue and this episode just now, gotta say, it's fucking good, like really fucking good.

・ミオリネはスレッタの父親を殺した男デリングの娘。今回はジュリエットとジュリエットのロマンスが見れそうだな。
Miorine is the daughter of the Delling, the guy that got Suletta's dad killed. We getting a Juliet and Juliet romance here.

それに「わかった、スレッタ今からあなたが私の婚約者ね」とあっさり受け入れたのは自分が交渉の材料（他のアニメと同じように親が決めた結婚）に使われたくないと思ったからだろうね。スレッタはそういうのとは無関係の部外者だし。
And how readily she went "OK Suletta you're my fiancee now" means that she wants to get away from being used as a bargaining chip (like every other arranged marriage in anime), and since Suletta seems to be an outsider, there ya go.



・ミオリネがエアリアルで出撃するとは思わなかった。大抵フィクションにおけるプリンセスというのは座ってただヒーローが悪い男を倒し救ってくれるのを待つだけの役どころだから興味深い展開だったな。

そしてこれはミオリネは自分の運命を誰であれ勝手に決めてほしくないという証拠でもある。たとえそれが数時間前に出会ったばかりの主人公だとしてもね。
今のところ彼女はとても強い女性キャラクターだと思っている。
あとスレッタも好き、２人の関係がこれからどのように進展していくのか見たい。
Didn't expect Miorine to go out with Aerial. An interesting turn, since commony in fiction the princess character just sits and waits for the hero to beat the bad guy and save her.
Also, this is the proof that she really doesn't want anyone to decide her fate for her, even if that one is the protagonist, whom she just met a few hours ago.
At least for now, I believe that she's a strong female character.
Also, I like Suletta too, want to see how their relationship develops.

・機動戦士少女革命スレッタとか見るしかないだろ。
I am all in for Mobile Suit Revolutionary Girl Suletta.








・ガンダムがLGBTの時代に踏み出す最初の一歩となる作品で「G」ではなく「L」から始めたことにちょっと怒っている。とはいえ以前からガンダムにはゲイ（かも？）のキャラクターはいた。ただ今回のような主人公にはいなかったはず。

だが１話を見てこうした私の穿った見方はなくなり今ではレズビアンによる恋愛を応援している。自分はヤオイ専門で百合のことは全く知らないから専門家に聞きたい、どっちがタチでどっちがネコなんだ？

最後に、このアニメが素晴らしいものになるのは間違いないが、自分には他の人にはない悩みのタネが１つある。それは死亡するキャラクターが多いことに耐えられないということ。この作品がもし「今週は誰が死ぬんだ」系のアニメになってしまったら、それまでどんなに素晴らしい内容でも見るのをやめてしまうと思う。まさに今までのガンダムシリーズがそうだったようにね。唯一最後まで見れたのはガンダムビルドだけ。
I'm a little bit salty that the first Gundam step into an LGBT era begins with a letter "L", not "G", but to be fair there's gay (maybe?) Gundam character before, but not as the protagonist like this one.
But the first episode overcome my bias and now I'm rooting for lesbian love. I'm yaoi specialist and I have zero experience in yuri. Can any yuri specialist tell me who's top and bottom?
I've no doubt that this will turn into an amazing anime but I've one concern like no other, I'm very intolerant to a high death toll. If this show turn into "who'll be killed this week" kind of anime, I'll immediately drop, no matter how good they're, just like I did to the rest of Gundam franchise, the only one I can finish is Gundam Build.

英語で「Top」は『縛り手』あるいは、より広く『責め手』を意味し、「Bottom」『縛られる側の人』あるいは、より広く『受け手』を意味する。この「Top」と「Bottom」は、もともとはゲイの間で用いられる隠語で、「Top」はいわゆる「タチ」に相当し、「Bottom」は「ネコ」「ウケ」に相当する。
あとTop＝入れる方、Bottom＝入れられる方って意味もあるようです。

落ち着け、これはただの１話のクリフハンガーってだけでまだ２人が恋愛カップルだとアナウンスされたわけでもない（笑）
あと確かに以前にもゲイの人たちがいたな、男性でもあり潜在的に女性でもあるキャラクターが。
Calm down dude, this is just the cliffhanger of the first episode, they haven't been announced as a romantic couple yet lol. And yes, there have been gay people on the show before, both male and potentially female.

確かに先走りすぎてて笑ったｗあの発言は上で既に言われてるとおり部外者のスレッタが婚約者になってくれればミオリネ的にわずらわしい束縛から解放されて都合がいいからってだけだと思う。



・スレッタはとても心優しい子なので前回のガンダムの主人公三日月の後だと慣れるの少し時間がかかりそうだ。性格に関しては２人は真逆だからね（＞∀＜）

しかし、ガンダムに乗り込んだら一転、完全なる獣になった！グエル相手に手加減など一切しない。いったん戦闘になると性格が切り替わるとか、好き！もしこれが生き死にの戦闘だったらためらうことなくブチ殺していただろう。

ミオリネに関して言うと、間違いなくこのストーリーのプリンセスなのだが、彼女は周りが自分のことを勝手に決めていくことにずっと前からイライラしていて「自分の問題は自分で片を付ける」というタイプのプリンセスだった。彼女は生意気な性格をしているけど、間違いなくスレッタとは波長が合うはず。彼女にもなにかしらモビルスーツパイロットとしてのスキルはあるのだろうか？エアリアルのときにうまく操縦できなかったけどあれはスレッタしか扱えないものだったのは間違いないしね。

まあどんな展開になるにせよ、これからこの２人の関係がどんなふうに進展していくのか今から楽しみだ！

Suletta is such a sweetheart that it's gonna take some getting used to her after having Mikazuki as the last Gundam AU protag, they're pretty much the polar opposites when it comes to their personalities. xD
When it comes to piloting a Gundam though, she's an absolute beast! She really didn't hold back against Guel. You can definitely see a shift in personality once she enters a fight and I absolutely love it! If that was a life-or-death duel, I'm sure she would've executed him with no hesitation.
As for Miorine, she's definitely the princess of this story but she's the "I fight my own battles" kind of Princess since she's already sick and tired of people making decisions for her. She's brash but her personality perfectly compliments Suletta's. I do wonder if Mio has any skills in piloting mobile suits, I'm sure she was just having trouble with Aerial since Suletta is really the only one that can pilot it. Whatever happens though, I'm already excited to see where this relationship will go!

・機動戦士ガンダム：ウテナが始まるとは予想してなかったが、それならそれで構わない。今回のエピソードの内容はほとんどウテナの第１話だったな。
I wasn't expecting Mobile Suits Gundam: Utena, but I'll take what we got. The episode is almost beat by beat Utena's first episode.

beat by beat＝心拍ごとの　※意味不明だったので訳しませんでした。もしかして「一分の狂いもなく」とかそんな意味？

あの忌々しいウテナの小説版も書いているからそう思うのも無理はない。ただ一方でコードギアスやヴァルヴレイヴの脚本も書いている、だから・・・
Wrote the freaking Utena Novel adaptation so it makes sense. Though he also wrote Code Geass and Valvrave, so...

この脚本家はエンディングが酷くなることで有名、そんなわけで彼がメインライターを担当している作品の中にはエンディングだけ他のライターに任せるという場合も少なくない。
Pretty sure this guy is quite notorious for writing poor endings, so much so that quite a few anime series that has him as the series main writer actually opted to have other writers to do the ending.

それでも自分の知るところだと彼はコードギアスのエンディングを書いているはず。だからそんなに酷いってわけでもない。
Still wrote the Code Geass ending, as far as we know, so not really that bad.



・今回のエピソードは良かったけど、プロローグを見て期待していた１話とは全然違っていた。それとエリー／スレッタも４歳で３人を殺した場面を見たあとに想像していた性格とは全然違っていた。
あの場で実際に起きたことを理解し性格が変わってしまったのか？あるいは水星に人が住んでいることに驚いている描写があったから彼女は今まで母親以外の人間とほとんど接することなく過ごしてきたせいか？

それはともかく学園モノの展開にはならず、学校はただの舞台装置であってほしい。今後彼女は政治的に大きな影響力を与える存在になっていくはずだから、学生相手にスマーフィングする展開ではなくもっとすごい相手との戦いが見れるようになるだろう。言うまでもないが脚本はあのコードギアス書いた人が担当するようだし、あっちも最初は学園モノのっぽいスタートだったしね・・・¯_(ツ)_/¯

最後になるがガンダムとシンクロしたときに顔に出るクールな血管どこいった？？それを見たミオリネが「なんだそりゃ？」って顔してくれるのを期待してたのに
The episode was good but it was quite different from what I expected from the prologue. Also Eri/Suletta's character is quite different from what I imagined it would be after she has 3 confirmed kills at 4 lol. Maybe after she understood what actually happened her personality took a change? Or perhaps since they mentioned they were surprised there were people living in Mercury, she's never been able to interact with many people aside from her mother.
I hope this doesn't stay in the school setting for too long and it's only a setup. It does seem like that would be the case since she will be drastically influencing politics moving forward so we'll get better fights in the future and not just her smurfing on schoolkids. Not to mention, the script is written by the same guy that wrote Code Geass and that also started in a school setting soo... ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Also where's the cool vein stuff that shows up on the face when syncing with the Gundam?? I was hoping to see that and Miorine make a wtf face.

・人生初のガンダムシリーズだったのだが、百合っぽいね・・・

おわりに

プロローグも小説もチェックしたけどいまだ固有名詞とか世界観がイマイチよくわかってなかったりするｗまあ後々わかってくるとは思う。

あと海外勢が（日本勢も？）ウテナ、ウテナって言ってたけどウテナ知らないので共感できなかったのが悲しい。


大河内さんといえばカバネリも最後は結構微妙だったから確かに心配なところはある（まあ、あれは尺が足りないせいという声もあったし同意できる部分もあるけど）。菖蒲様のおまんじゅうがでてきたあたりではアニメ・オブ・ザ・イヤーの有力候補だったのに（・・・などと言ってますが、パチスロをキッカケに最近見始めたにわか勢なのでリアルタイムでは見てませんｗ）

ガンダムは長丁場になると思うのでどこまでやるかは未定ですが、とりあえず今のところは継続予定なのでよろしくお願いします！！
