アイツはただの狂人。鬼だからといって全員が全員悲しい物語があるわけではない、ただひたすらに最悪なのもいる。それでうまくバランスをとれている。
Guy is just nuts. Not all demon get sad story, some of them are even down right THE WORST. That balances thing out i guess

本当それ、特にこの最終話の演技は際立っていた。
今回のエピソードを見るまで妓夫太郎の声優が、ダイヤのエースの沢村栄純の声優でもある逢坂良太なことに気づかなかった。

・善逸が泣きながらも伊之助が死にそうなことを察知して炭治郎に助けを求めるところが良かった。
I love the fact that zenitsu while crying was able to hear inosuke dying and asked to Tanjiro to help him.



・鬼の姿の妓夫太郎のこれについてみんな知っているかどうかわからないけど、彼には鎌状赤血球という病気があり、その姿は彼が人間だったときの病気と相関関係にある。さらに血鬼術も。
彼の皮膚には人間の姿のときと同様斑点模様があるが、これは通常、鎌状赤血球に伴う貧血性の発疹として見られる症状である。鬼の姿の時に白目の部分が黄色なのは黄疸だと思うが、これも鎌状赤血球に見られる症状のひとつ。
彼は鎌を使う、毒の血鎌。その血鬼術も鎌状赤血球のような見た目をしている。
Not sure if people knew this about Gyutaro demon appearance, but Gyutaro had sickle cell blood disease. His appearance when he was human correlates with the disease, even his blood demon art as a demon.
He has markings on his skin as a human as well which is usually an anemic rash associated with sickle cell disease. The white of his eyes is yellow as a demon which is considered jaundice of the eyes which is also another symptom related to sickle cell disease. He uses sickles. Poisonous blood sickles. Even his blood slashes from his blood demon art looks like sickle cell.

鎌状赤血球ではなく、先天性梅毒のはず。母親を殺した病気の名前が「梅（Ume）」なのはそういうわけで、これは日本語でsyphilisを意味する言葉だから（また梅（Ume）は「白梅（white plum）」という意味にもなるが、こっちは実際女の子につけてもおかしくない名前かもね）。
It's not supposed to be sickle-cell, it's supposed to be congenital syphilis. That's how "Ume" is the name of the disease that killed their mother, it's the Japanese term for syphilis (it can also mean "white plum" so it's also a name a girl might actually have).

Lol imagine you’re in the situation Uzui’s wives were in thinking your husband is about to die and a random small girl comes up and sets him on fire. Mamoru Miyano is a great choice.
The whole scene where Daki & Gyutaro went to seemingly went to hell was oddly depressing to me.

須磨とまきをの口喧嘩のせいで最後の言葉を言う時間がないと宇随が悟るところは鬼滅の刃で一番面白かった。
Uzui realizing that he won't have time to say last words because of Sumi and Makio bickering is one of the funniest moments in this series.

・妓夫太郎と堕姫の生い立ちは本当に胸が張り裂けそうになった！凍てつく雪のなかで兄妹が抱き合うところ、堕姫の焼けた身体を妓夫太郎が抱くところは涙がでた😭😭😭
Gyutaro and Daki's backstory was so heartbreaking! I teared up at the scene when they were hugging in the freezing snow and when he was carrying Daki's burned body. 😭😭😭

雪の中、妓夫太郎が死にそうになっている妹の身体を抱き抱えているところは、１話の冒頭で炭治郎が大雪の中死にそうになっている禰豆子を抱えている場面に似ている。
そして両方とも地位の高い者に助けてもらった。一人は鬼殺隊の、もうひとりは鬼の
Gyutaro carrying his sister's almost dead boy through snow was similar to how in the beginning Tanjiro was carrying the almost dead Nezuko through heavy snow.
Both of them were saved by an Upper Rank: One a Demon Slayer and other the Demon.

そして炭治郎があの時ああいう結末を迎えなければ迎えていたであろう運命、その「最悪のケース」を強調してもいる。
And drives home the "worst-case" scenario that Tanjiro may have faced had he not done what he did.



・鬼滅の刃の死後の世界についてちょっとだけ説明すると・・・

鬼滅の刃における地獄はキリスト教における永遠の天罰ではなく、仏教に基づいている。

仏教の地獄はまっさらな状態に生まれ変わるため生前に積んだ悪いカルマを相殺する場所であり、言うなれば実刑判決のようなもの。

だからこそ天元は当たり前のように地獄に行く言っていた。忍びである以上暗殺の任務をこなしているはずで、だからこそ彼は「刑期を務める」必要があると考える。

塁の両親が息子に、堕姫が妓夫太郎に地獄まで一緒についていくのは見た目ほど暗澹たる気持ちにはならない。結局のところこれは新しい人生を始めるためのキッカケをもらったってことだからね。

それと仏教には輪廻転生が深く根付いているからこそ、炭治郎が首を切るのをためらわない理由でもある。
炭治郎にとってこれは鬼への暴力的な処罰ではなく、鬼に囚われた魂を輪廻転生の世界に戻そうとする行為だから。

追記：仏教における地獄について訂正してくる人がいるので書いておく、上の文章は正式な仏教の教えを説明したものではなく、単にこのストーリーの背景にあるものをちょっと説明したかっただけ。
キリスト教を題材にしたフィクションがしばしばキリスト教のどの側面を取り扱うか取捨選択するように、作者も古くからの経典をそっくりそのまま採用するつもりはなく、その根底にある考え（輪廻転生＝セカンドチャンス）のほうに注意を向けているのだと思っている。
A little clarification in regards to the after life in Demon Slayer....
Instead of the eternal damnation from Christianity, Demon Slayer's Hell is based in Buddhism.
In Buddhism, Hell is a place where you offset the bad Karma you accumulated in life, in order to be reborn with a clean slate. Think of it like a prison sentence.
That's why Tengen casually talk about going to Hell. Being a Shinobi he must have a couple assassination missions under his belt, he believes he needs to "do his time".
That's why Daki following Gyutaro and Rui's parents following their son into Hell is not as bleak as it seems. Eventually they'll all have a chance to have a new beginning.
The cycle of rebirth deeply ingrained in Buddhism is also why Tanjiro never hesitates to decapitate Demons, because to him is not about a violent act of punishment, is about releasing the trapped souls of Demons back into the natural cycle of rebirth.
Edit: Since some people are correcting me about my explanation of Buddhism Hell, I want to make a disclaimer that it is not my intention to give an official teaching of Buddhism, I’m simply trying to provide a little context to the story.
Just like how works of fiction based in Christianity often pick and choose what aspects are represented, I highly doubt the author intended the rules to be exactly the same as the old scriptures (Length of stay = Billions of years). Instead they would care more about the idea they are meant to represent (Reincarnation = Second chance).

サンクス、これは本質を突いた説明だ。この物語は悔い改めることを重要なテーマにおいているようだがこの遊郭編では鬼と鬼殺隊その２つの視点からそれを見ることが出来た。
Thanks, this was an insightful explanation. The theme of repentance seems to be very important in the story. In this arc we saw it both from the point of view of the demons and the slayers.

repentanceは悔い改めと訳したけど、その他に後悔や良心の呵責といった意味もあります。



・鬼の過去が悲しいものなのはわかっていたけど、こんなにも悲しいとは思わなかった。妹が兄の背中に飛び乗るところではほとんど大泣き状態だった。

・妓夫太郎と梅が鬼に助けられたのは、この遊郭では誰一人彼らを助けてくれる者がいなかったからというのがなんとも残酷な皮肉だ。この場面は見ていてワンワン泣いてしまった。
It's the sheer cruel irony that gyutaro and ume got help from a demon because nobody in the district would help them that gets me bawling.

正直言うと、あんな状況でああなってしまった彼らを責めるのは難しい。
彼らの人生はずっと人間に殴られ、中傷され、石をぶつけられ・・・そして最終的には殺された。そしてその後鬼に助けられた。
彼らが鬼として生き、人間を殺したことを責めることはできるのだろうか？
確かに他人がした悪事の代わりにそれとは無関係な人が罰を受けるのは間違っている。だが、彼らの立場に自分を置いてみるとわかりやすい、鬼になるその前からずっと彼らにとって人間は敵だった、そしてそれは彼らが望んだからではない。
例えば１０年間息子を殴り続けた父親がいたとして、その息子がどういうわけかボクシング世界王者になり、逆に今度は父親を殴るようになったとしても、父親はそのことで泣く資格は本当にあるのだろうか？
Honestly, it's a little bit harder to blame them, given their situation;
All their lives, humans beat them, trashed them, threw rocks at them etc.. and eventually killed them. Then a demon helped them.
Can we really blame them for joining the demons, and killing humans?
Sure, one should not be punished for the sin of another, but it's easy to put ourselves in their situation. Even before turning into demons (and even before he started beating people), humans were his enemies, and by THEIR choice, not his.
If a father beat his kid for 10 years, but at some point the kid grows into a boxing champion, can the father really cry if his boxer son beat him up in turn?

炭治郎、禰豆子が（妓夫太郎と梅ほどではないにせよ）貧しくとも温かく愛のある家庭に生まれたのは本当に運が良かった。
今回のエピソードを見れば心の傷が人の一生にどれだけ影響を与えるものかわかる。もし妓夫太郎と梅がまだ幼い頃に心優しい人が手を差し伸べていたら、彼らの歩む道は違っていたものになっていただろう。

そして炭治郎の家族は亡くなってしまっているけども、それでもその家族の愛情はいまだに彼の心の中で生き続け、それが彼に力を与えている（例えば：無限列車編で炭治郎が家族から一人生き残ったことを罵倒される悪夢を見せられた時「俺の家族を侮辱するな」と言っていたが、あそこの彼は自分の家族がそんなことを絶対に絶対に言うわけがないと確信をもつほどに精神的に安定しており、家族から虐待を受けたことのある自分にとってこの場面はかなり衝撃的だった）。

母親が妓夫太郎を殺そうとしたというのは実感をもってわかる。貧困と紛争を生き抜いてきた自分より上の世代の人たちには子供を育てるのに十分な食料がない世界のため中絶を試みる親もいた（当時はせいぜい薬を飲んだり、流産するように階段から落ちたりするぐらいだけど）。その世界では酷いときだと目につく植物を人々が片っ端から食べてしまうこともあったという。そんな話をしてくれた叔父もいまではそれなりの成功者になって、当時のことを笑いながら語り自分をサバイバーだと言っていた。「俺は絶対に死なない！！」と。
今回のエピソードが自分の子供を抱きしめ、人に手を差し伸べ、出会う人と互いに親切になれるキッカケに少しでもなったらいいね。
Tanjiro and Nezuko really lucked out when they were born into a warm and loving family even though they were poor (even if they weren’t as poor as Gyutaro and Ume were).
It really goes to show how trauma plays a part in the path we take in life. If someone warm reached out to Gyutaro and Ume when they were younger their paths could have easily been just a little different.
Even though Tanjiro’s family is dead he still carries their warmth with him and it empowers him eg: in mugen train when he shouted “don’t you dare insult my family like that” when he had a nightmare of his mother and siblings blaming him for being the sole survivor. He was emotionally secure enough to trust and know his family would NEVER EVER do that to him, this was a huge moment for me as a person who’s experienced abuse from family.
I really felt that part where Gyutaro’s mother tried to kill him. The older generation of my family who survived conflict and abject poverty had parents who tried to abort them (back then you just take some herbs and hope it induces a miscarriage or try to fall down some stairs) to avoid bringing up a child in a world where there wasn’t enough food to go around. Sometimes things were so bad people ate whatever vegetation they could find. That uncle grew up to be pretty successful, he laughs and calls himself a survivor now. “I just wouldn’t die!!!”
This episode was a reminder to your hug your children a little more, reach out to people, and keep being kind to one another.

両方。それは禰豆子とあの女医がポイントになるんじゃないか？鬼になったからといって本質的に悪に染まるわけではない、たとえ良い鬼になるほうが難しいとしても
鬼になるということはすでに悪に染まっていた人間がさらに悪に染まる力を与えるもので、いずれにせよ鬼は人間から生まれてくる。
Both. Isn't that the point of Nezuko and the Doctor lady? Being a demon doesn't inherently make you evil, even if it does make choosing to be good harder.
Becoming a demon mostly gives power to those who are already evil to be even more evil. After all, demons are born from humans anyways.









おわりに

逆張り炎上系を目指しているわけじゃないから犯罪者を擁護したりはしないけど、大概の犯罪者は家庭環境に問題があるからあんまり「犯罪者に厳罰を！」っていう気持ちにもなれなかったりするんだよなぁってことを今回のエピソードを見て改めて思った。


あと最初から覚悟はしていたけどカナヲちゃんの出番がほとんどなくて悲しい、３期では出番が増えるといいな。
