それではさっそくですがアニメ「無限の住人-IMMORTAL-」第１５話に対する海外の反応で英語の勉強をしていきたいと思います。


ここ面白かったけど、アニメがシリアス寄りだからか最初ギャグかどうかわかりにくかったｗ

・ここのシーンは信じられないぐらい素晴らしかった。古い映写機で描かれたような幻想的で優美な形。

丁寧にそして完璧なペースでこの哀れな医者が印象主義的な死を醤油で描くまでに狂っていくさまが描かれた。
This whole scene was incredible. Fantastic etheral forms with an old-school projector aesthetic, and just the slow perfectly paced reveal that this poor doctor has become a madman painting impressionistic death art on his walls in soy sauce.

The doctor was already out of his mind but hoo boy, now he's gone off the fucking rails.

ここは本当にクールな見せ方だったな。
大抵の場合、よくあるマッドサイエンティストは、最初から狂っているかあるいは倫理観が欠如している状態で現れるものだが、今回の場合、どちらかというと精神が弱まるまでは普通の医者だった人間が、どのようにして狂っていくのかその過程を見ることが出来た。
It's a really cool idea. Normally the cliche mad scientist walks into a story and is already crazy or without ethics. This time you get to how somebody start as a more normal doctor until they crack up.



・処刑人があのずんぐりしたおっさんだったところ大好き。

ついにあの医者の精神は壊れてしまった。回想では心から人の命を救おうとしていたところはとても良かった。多くの人体実験を行ったことが彼の精神に大打撃を与えたことは間違いない。

この時代の日本はクリスチャンにとって最悪な時代だったからね。

凜が逸刀流のメンバーに愛情を示し始めているところがちょっと好き。こういうところを見てしまうと次に凜が影久と会ったら何が起こるだろうかと思ってしまう。

I love that the executioner is the stumpy older guy xD
Welp doc has finally snapped. I do like that he really wanted to save lives in his backstory. It's just that experimenting on these many people will definitely take a toll on you.
Yeah this era in Japan is the shittiest time to be a Christian.
I kinda like how Rin is starting to have a soft spot for Itto-ryu members. Makes you wonder what will happen the next time she meets Kagehisa again.

・このアニメに偶然出会えて本当に良かった。今まで見てきたなかでも興味を惹かれるアニメの上位に間違いなく挙げられる。
あの医者が理想主義者から狂人に変わっていくところはとてもうまく描かれた。
ペースが急ぎ気味なのはわかるけど、それでも一般的な異世界モノなんかより絶対こっちのほうが自分は好き。
I am so glad I came across this show. Definitely one of the most gripping shows I have watched.
The doctor's transition from an idealist to a lunatic was showcased pretty well.
I know it is rushed but I will still take it any day over some generic isekai.

スリラーものを描かせたら個人的に浜崎はアニメ監督として最高の1人だと思う。
That should be a meme.
Hamasaki is definitely one of the best anime directors for thrillers imo.



・瞳阿の戦い方を見ていると進撃の巨人のリヴァイを思い出す。２本の刃を巧みに操りながら回転し、多くの血が流れるところとか。
Doa's fighting style reminds me of Levi from Attack on Titan; dual wielding blades, spinning, and a lots of blood.

・ああ・・・・このアニメ見ててさらにムズムズしてしまうアニメになった
Well...... This show has become extra disturbing now.

disturbing、辞書を引けば意味はすぐでてくるのですが、その日本語の意味を文に落とし込むのに毎回苦労していたところ、（自画自賛ですが）下の説明がわかりやすいと思うので載せておきます。

disturbing＝心をかき乱す　動揺させる　不穏な　※これ海外の反応でも結構使われる単語で訳すこと自体は簡単なのですが、どういう心境なのか実は今までよくわかっていませんでした。今回のコメントから判断するに、杉元の口にざっくり刃が食い込んでるのをみたときのあのムズムズしてしまう感じをdisturbingというのかな？

・おいおい、彼らが夷作をあの狂った医者のところへ連れて行くなんて展開は嫌だぞ。
Man, I'm not liking where they're taking Isaku with that lunatic of a doctor.



・誰かこのサウンドトラックの発売日知ってる人いる？ここ最近聞いた中だと最高の１つに挙げられる。
Anybody know when the soundtrack comes out? It's one of the best ones I've heard in a while.

・いつもどおりの素晴らしい出来栄え。このアニメのディレクションはとてつもなくすごい。緊張と不安の組み立て方、戦闘シーンの描写、対立や権力、そして背景が醸し出す雰囲気の表現など・・・時間や予算に制限があるにも関わらず制作陣がこの作品を通じて成し遂げたもの・・・見始めた時はどうなるものかと不安だったが、話が進むにつれ自分の中でこれが２０１９年のAOTYである確信がますます強くなっていった。驚くほど見事な作品だ。
Incredible as always. The direction for this show really is something else, how they build tension and unease, how they illustrate the fights and conflicts, power, the atmosphere in the background shots... What they're achieving with the work here despite their limitations... I was sorta doubtful about it at the start but I'm getting more and more confident that this is my AOTY for 2019. It's stunning.

・今回の展開ではさらにダークになったな。あの医者は人間性を喪失し、手当り次第「犯罪者」たちを切り分け始めた。彼は血液には様々な型があることについて学びつつあるようだが、まだわかってはいないようだ。
あの逸刀流の大男が捕まってしまった。次回のエピソードでは大きな山場を迎えそうだ。そしておそらくこの残虐な話も終わりを迎えるんじゃないだろうか。
Somehow things even got darker. The doctor has lost his humanity and is carving up 'criminals' left and right. I think he's still making progress having learned about different blood types but that remains to be seen. The big guy from the Itto-ryu has now been captured so I expect a big confrontation next episode and perhaps even the end of this brutal arc.



・今回のエピソードは芸術の域に達していた。すごく良かった。それと１０／１０のアニメが過小評価され（MALスコア）7.20なところも気に入っている。
毎回そのあらゆる場面を楽しく見ているよ。
This episode was an art form. Loved it. Also love it how 10/10 shows are underrated and have a score of 7.20. Enjoying every moment of each episode.

点数が低いのは細かい部分をカットしているからだ。まるで映画を見ているかのように、キャラクターがガソリンスタンドにいたと思ったら、次の場面でいきなり戦っていたりする。それがスコア７を超えられない理由だ。きっと最後までかろうじて７にはとどまるだろう。内容をカットしないでくれたら、素晴らしいものになっていただろうな。
because they cut details, it's like watching a movie and seeing character at gas station and the next thing you blink it's in random fight, that's why this wont go past 7 I bet it will barely stay 7, if they would stop cutting the content from each episode then it would be good.

ガソリンスタンドうんぬんがちょっとよくわからなかったけど、それ以外は理解できたので載せました。



・あの医者が、最初に医学を志したときの理由そのすべて捨て去ってしまったのが悲しい。
Sad that the dr has abandoned all the reasons he went into medicine in the 1st place

歩蘭人が普通の人間から狂人になっていくところの描き方が良かった。

I liked how they represented Burando's descent into madness.





おわりに

瞳阿強いし可愛い！あと最初の登場では全然気づかなかったけどやっぱり改めて聞くとくぎゅうだなと思ったｗ
